Bed and breakfast in Ancinnes, in the Nord-Sarthe region, near the Forêt de Perseigne.
A former 18th-century farmhouse transformed into a cosy country cottage, La Basse Cour is an invitation to relax and indulge in fine dining. Here, at the heart of a one-hectare estate bordered by a peaceful lake where herons and egrets make their home, nature and fine dining are at the heart of the experience.
Every morning, you can enjoy a leisurely start to the day with a home-cooked breakfast prepared using delicious local produce, served until 11.00 am on the terrace overlooking the lake if you fancy it. In the evening, the table d’hôtes showcases vegetables from the kitchen garden and the treasures of our neighbouring producers, sourced from sustainable farming (€28 per person, booking required at least 24 hours in advance).
Upstairs, three cosy bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and toilets promise you a good night’s sleep. A lounge reserved for guests (with a fridge, microwave and hot drinks) as well as your own key to the house offer you complete independence. You can also make the most of the gardens for idyllic picnics.
For lovers of the great outdoors, signposted walking trails start right behind the house. Ideally situated 10 minutes from Alençon and 35 minutes from Le Mans, La Basse Cour combines the peaceful charm of the countryside with easy access to major roads and tourist routes.
Free private parking on the property.
