Description
Les Atypiques return to Fresnay-sur-Sarthe for summer 2026!
Every Saturday from 4 July to 29 August (except 1/08), Fresnay-sur-Sarthe town council invites you to spend a convivial evening in one of the town's venues, enjoying a free concert, play or show!
On Saturday 15 August, come and enjoy a performance of the play "Le capitaine fracasse" by Téophile Gautier by La Houlala Compagnie in the enchanting setting of the château grounds.
The story: Deep in Gascony, Baron de Sigognac, the last penniless heir of his illustrious family, lives alone in his poverty-stricken château. One rainy night, he takes in a troupe of travelling actors. Tired of his secluded life and falling in love with the beautiful Isabelle, he decides to follow the troupe on its adventures. He becomes Captain Fracasse. A life full of adventure begins for him, in which he has to face many adventures, including the Duke of Vallombreuse, who is also in love with the young actress.
