Born on June 27, 1935 in Touraine, he is a contemporary French painter renowned for his unique, authentic style. An artist of international renown, his work is exhibited in many countries. Today, Jean-Claude Tardivo lives and works in Paris, continuing to explore and enrich his unique pictorial universe. Jean-Claude Tardivo’s painting is a journey between abstraction and figuration, between simplicity and depth, always guided by a quest for inner beauty and fidelity to his origins. His work is an invitation to see beyond appearances and rediscover the richness of the human soul. He describes himself as a “passer-by”, a humble intermediary who reveals what already exists.
