  • The "Saint-Céneri sur le motif" (Saint-Céneri on the motif) discovery trail is marked out by 8 stages with desks on which the picturesque landscapes painted by the artists have been reproduced.

  • For two centuries, the rugged landscapes of the Alpes Mancelles and the banks of the Sarthe have attracted painters. Open-air landscape painting, known as "sur le motif", came into its own with the Impressionists. Many of them stayed at Saint-Céneri-le-Gérei during this period. The "Saint-Céneri sur le motif" (Saint-Céneri on the motif) discovery trail is divided into 8 stages, each with a desk on which the picturesque landscapes painted by the artists have been reproduced.

    The interpretation trail comprises several routes starting from the riverside car park:
    - Town and chapel loop with return trip to the bridge 1.4 kilometres
    - Round trip to the Moulin de Trotté 2.4 kilometres or return via the GR 36 3.7 kilometres
    - Round trip to Pierre Bécue 3.2 kilometres
    Walking shoes essential for the GR sections and the Pierre Bécue.
