
Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 April: European Crafts Days in Fresnay-sur-Sarthe! All the participants will be present non-stop (10am-6pm) on their stands or in their workshops to give you explanations and offer demonstrations.
On the programme:
- a host of arts and crafts workshops open to visitors, including stained glass, engraving, photography, carpentry and violin making (full list available to download from the programme)
- a number of guest artists on show in the Salle Georges Durand, the Parc du Château, the L'Antre du Chêne studio-gallery and the Espace culturel Cofea (3 Rue Saint-Sauveur)
- opening of the Musée de la Coiffe and its headdress restoration workshop
- opening of second-hand goods shops, antique dealers and art galleries, so you can go bargain hunting while you stroll around
- three highlights: presentation of a painting restoration project by Aurélie Terral Dréano on Friday 10 April at 8.30pm in Notre-Dame Church, creation of a painted sign on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm by Sébastien Le Mentec at the future Maison des Associations (Place de Bassum) and creation of a bat painting on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm by Artem Manon in the Salle Georges Durand (Parc du Château).
To help you make the most of your visit, two information centres will be set up:
- at the Alpes Mancelles Tourist Office (19 Avenue du Docteur Riant) on Saturday from 10am to 5pm and on Sunday from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 4pm
- under Les Halles (Place de Bassum) on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm
