The garden

of the Domaine du Gasseau
A 1500 m² space to discover plants

Come and discover the vegetable garden, the orchard, the collections of plants in all their forms: forgotten vegetables, aromatic and medicinal plants, red fruit collection, plum trees. In this garden we encourage you to touch, smell and taste the fragrance of the plants.

Garden open all year round.

A natural garden

The vegetable garden at the Domaine du Gasseau covers 1,500m² of flower beds surrounded by a stone wall, with a pond in the center featuring wetland plants shaded by a centuries-old oak tree. The garden is run on a permaculture basis, with no synthetic chemical inputs. We experiment with plant and vegetable associations according to their affinities, mulching and not turning over the soil to encourage its life force.

The garden

of sharing

Vegetables grown in the garden are sold in the Café Nature boutique on weekends, depending on production. Numerous traditional and local medicinal plants are presented with explanatory panels on their historical uses.
