"Vallée de Misère" hiking trail

Village in the heart of the Alpes Mancelles conservation area, marked by a sudden escarpment. Its two mountains, Haut Fourché and Narbonne, rise to 217 and 203 m respectively, providing natural vantage points for outdoor activities.

Built on the site of the former Vandoeuvre monastery, the church has undergone many alterations. Inside, a stained glass window and a statue recall the story of the hermit. There is also a remarkable carving depicting the dormition of the Virgin Mary.

Undoubtedly an ancient oppidum dating back to Gallic times, this mountain served as an entrenched camp during local conflicts. Today, it is home to a wildlife park open all year round (free admission), offering panoramic views over the Vallée de Misère.
