This building housed the farrier until the late 60s. The building has a traditional shape, with the workshop on one side and the awning for horses and shoeing on the other.
Built between the 13th and 14th centuries in the Romanesque style, this church boasts a number of original features: a bell tower “mounted” on 4 tapering levels, topped by a gambrel roof, and a narthex, a small overhang in front of the doorway that served a number of purposes, including accommodating unbaptized people (catechumens) who were not allowed to enter the building.

The site of Vaux is mentioned as early as the 13th century, and over the centuries various owners have “developed” the estate, which has spread over neighboring communes and includes ponds, woods and a mill…. Today’s château, though already imposing and remarkable, replaced an older, larger one. It has been in the same family since 1900. Classical in style, the château comprises a central main building and two outbuildings.
Located in the heart of the village, it was built by communal decision in 1881. The washhouse has a 3-sided roof, protecting the dozen or so washerwomen who could be accommodated. At the entrance is a small area for wheelbarrows and carts.
